This Privacy Policy describes how Pori – Skin Checker ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our mobile application. By using the app you agree to the practices described here.
1. Information We Collect
We collect only what is necessary to provide the service:
- Face photos — images you voluntarily submit for skin analysis. Photos are sent to our AI model for processing and are not stored permanently on our servers.
- Diary & mood entries — text you write in the in-app diary, stored locally on your device.
- Subscription status — whether you hold an active subscription, processed through Apple's StoreKit framework. We never see your payment details.
- Anonymous analytics — aggregated, non-identifiable events (e.g., screen views, feature usage) to improve the app. No personal identifiers are included.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To deliver AI skin analysis results to you.
- To display your history and progress within the app.
- To process and verify in-app subscription purchases via Apple.
- To improve app features based on aggregated usage patterns.
3. Face Data
Photos you submit are processed by an AI model to generate a skin analysis report. Images are transmitted over an encrypted connection (HTTPS) and are not stored on our servers beyond the time needed to produce a result. We do not share, sell, or use your face images for advertising or to train third-party models.
4. Sharing of Information
We do not sell your personal data. We may share limited information with:
- AI service providers — solely to process your skin analysis request, under data-processing agreements.
- Apple — for in-app purchase validation. Apple's Privacy Policy governs that data.
- Analytics tools — anonymized, aggregated event data only.
5. Data Retention
Scan results and diary entries are stored locally on your device. If you delete the app, all local data is removed. Server-side processed images are deleted immediately after the result is returned.
6. Children's Privacy
The app is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such data, contact us and we will delete it promptly.
7. Security
All data transmission is encrypted via TLS. We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information from unauthorized access.
